| I wouldnt not strive to be those guys in the vid. There are way better airsoft snipers and marksmen here in New England. Those guys are pretty amateur. As for the gun they are both good choices. Both will take any aeg spring. I would suggest the M14 since the CYMA is a better built gun and the internals are stronger and will take a heavier spring easily. An ELECTRIC (the one posted above is spring) SVD is a good platform to build on as it has a V3 and an AK style hop up. I approve of both, but strongly suggest the M14 over the SVD. Especially considering the M14 is electric and the SVD is spring powered. Out of the box the M14 will be capable of full auto. When you have it shoot over 400 fps ask the airsmith to remove the selector switch so that it remains semi only. Otherwise people wont event let you on the field with it. Keep in mind that you cannot engage anyone at under 100 feet with a rifle shooting hotter than 400fps with .25's. If you are looking into an electric SVD here is one: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_166&products_id=1772Keep in mind more will will have to go into this one than the CYMA m14. | |

| For a vest how about something like this: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=2044Its light and its modular. The MOLLE system allows you to configure the vest anyway you want. You can have just a couple of pouches for necessities as a sniper, or add some frags, flashbangs, smokes, mags, and 203 shells and have it be a lightweight assault vest. The idea is that you can add any pouch you want anywhere you want it. Completely customize it to your liking. Molle has become the standard system used by just about every operator. As for the drag bag/mat/gun case thats kind of pointless for airsoft. If you can lay out a mat for you to lay on without being spotted then you're too far away to shoot a person with an airsoft rifle. Drag bags arent really used in airsoft for that reason. Hey if you have real steel and you like to go to the range and you dont want to get dirty by laying on the ground that thing is money. However, if your a sniper I'd hope you dont mind getting a little dirty, cuz you're gonna get a lot dirty. | |

| The mat looks nice, and a mollee vest will be helpful, now would i be able to upgrade the svd as much as the m14? | |

| Absolutely you could. The JG SVD is not built quite as nicely as the M14. Because the SVD has a V3 gearbox it CAN be whatever you want it to be. You just may need more parts and more labor to get it there. However the M14 is a spring and a tightbore away from where you want it to be for the most part. | |

| with the svd you do need to buy a special mount for the scop which can cost any where from $24.00 to $250.00
as for the m14 its the same thing $15.00 to $60.00 | |
