Socom is short for special operations command. It means nothing on the gun. Most guns put it on it because the gun is not a standard issue piece of equipment. Echo 1 came out with a line called Socom Gear. Its essentially WE pistols rebranded and a few other pieces. I have a SOCOM Gear pistol (its a WE pistol). Pretty nice piece. The trades they put are VERY sexy. Its only a name. Means nothing as to the gun itself.
